A guide to City Fertility pricing

City Fertility understands that each fertility journey is different. This is reflected in our fee schedule, which is structured around your own individual needs and means prices may vary according to the different levels of treatment required.

The first step is for you and your partner to have a consultation with one of our City Fertility specialists, who will take a detailed medical history, arrange investigations and plan the most appropriate treatment option for you. Please check with your chosen specialist with regards to the out-of-pocket fee that you can expect for this appointment.

Please remember, a current referral is required so that you can claim the price of specialist treatment. You can download a City Fertility referral form and take it along to your GP appointment. Alternatively, you can also obtain a GP referral by using Doctors on Demand, a 24-hour service that gives you access to Australian Registered doctors via video conference appointments.

Referrals from a GP last for 12 months, whereas a referral from a specialist is current for only three months. It is important that the referral lists both your name and your partner’s so that you are able to claim the full rebate for the initial consultation.

Following your consultation with a City Fertility specialist, one of our patient services staff will contact you to organise for a comprehensive and individualised Patient Information Pack to be sent to you.  All aspects of your individualised fertility plan, including the pricing structure, will be covered in the information sent, and educational videos will explain the different stages of your treatment.  In the meantime, you can visit our pricing section for detailed information about IVF treatment price and Medicare rebates.

Unlike the majority of other clinics, City Fertility does not charge an initial registration fee for standard IVF services.

Possible early treatment options

Not everyone will need to proceed to treatment such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF). Your specialist may, in fact, recommend you begin with less-invasive treatment, such as ovulation induction or artificial insemination – IUI.

Our patient services administrators are available to discuss any questions you may have regarding IVF costs or other treatment fees, Medicare and private health rebates, so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
