Dr Trueman attained his primary medical degree in Manchester, England. He moved to Australia in 1988 and trained in Queensland for obstetrics and gynaecology before finishing training in London.
Dr Trueman then spent seven years as a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist in Lismore before moving back to the Gold Coast.
He is based at the John Flynn Hospital, where he conducts private deliveries and gynaecological surgery. He also works at The Tweed Hospital, for public gynaecology, and is on call for public obstetrics.
His interests also include laparoscopic and pelvic floor surgery, and IVF.
