At City Fertility, we are passionate about helping single women turn their dream of motherhood into a reality. Fertility treatments are becoming increasingly common amongst single women, offering a solution for having a family without having a partner.
We strive to provide as much information as possible regarding our treatments so you are able to make an informed decision about which option is best for you.
City Fertility delivers a variety of comprehensive fertility treatments (using donor sperm) to give single women the opportunity to start their family.
Available treatment options for single women using donor sperm include:
miscarriage.
City Fertility has a good variety of clinic recruited donor sperm, with a range of donor profiles, so you can select your closest match.
To ensure the safety of our patients, all our sperm donors undertake both a semen analysis and a series of pathology and saliva tests as part of the routine screening process. Screening tests include: HIV, Hepatitis B and C, Syphilis, Human T-lymphotropic virus (HTLV) 1+2, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Cystic Fibrosis, Karyotype, Blood Group, FXS, SMA, Full Blood Count, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and extended genetic carrier screening.
All our sperm donors have consulted a qualified fertility counsellor.
You will attend a consultation with a City Fertility specialist, where you will learn about the medical procedures involved and have your medical details assessed.
Routine screening tests will be required before commencing treatment. You will need to have your blood tested, and your results will be forwarded to your specialist.
It is compulsory for all single women considering using donated sperm to attend a counselling session. This will give you the chance to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have in regards to the treatment.
Before beginning your treatment, you will also be required to have a patient education presentation. This presentation may be self-directed or done by the clinic fertility nurses. Information will be provided about your treatment cycle, medications and their side effects, and any day-to-day requirements. You will be given consent forms to fill in and sign. Consent forms are required to be returned before the commencement of the treatment.
Before you can start treatment, the specialist and fertility nurses will perform a final review of the counselling reports, blood tests and consent forms to make sure everything is in order.
It is advised that you follow a healthy lifestyle prior to, and during, your treatment. A balanced diet, regular exercise and limited alcohol is recommended. Before treatment, you will be required to stop smoking and restrict your alcohol consumption.
