City Fertility is proud to announce the opening of our new Fertility and IVF clinic in Toowoomba.
Combined with a local expert medical team and partnership with global leader CHA Medical Group, our Toowoomba clinic provides a personalised patient experience to maximise our patients’ outcomes.
Two of Australia’s leading researchers in the area of women’s reproductive health will head up a new collaborative partnership between the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and City Fertility.
Professors Robert Gilchrist and Bill Ledger are leading the research partnership which aims to focus on improving fertility outcomes for women struggling with infertility.
The widespread annual incidence of miscarriage is estimated to impact one in 10 women in their lifetime, but experts say it needs better diagnosis, investigation and management according to a substantial three-part report published in medical journal The Lancet in April. Dr Dean Conrad, obstetrician, gynaecologist and specialist with City Fertility said he usually only sees patients after they have had two or three miscarriages and are often very anxious by this stage.
Research suggests that 30 per cent of children’s hospital admissions are due to genetic disorders, however with the help of advanced preimplantation genetic testing of embryos, the number of children born with these genetic diseases can potentially be reduced.
At City Fertility we employ the most advanced genetic testing method currently available called Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). NGS is an extremely sensitive testing method with the analysis including several hundred thousand readings for each chromosome.
Brisbane locals now have easy access to City Fertility’s newly opened all-inclusive and state-of-the-art IVF clinic and procedure centre at Newstead in inner-city Brisbane.
The purpose-built multimillion-dollar clinic has been created to meet a growing demand for our fertility services in Brisbane and to provide a new modern option for fertility and IVF with the highest quality personalised patient care.
City Fertility warmly welcomes Professor Bill Ledger to its expanding Sydney CBD clinic. Professor Ledger’s extensive clinical fertility experience and research expertise has earned him the position as one of Australia’s leading and most sought after fertility specialists.
Professor Ledger’s commitment to patients and the profession is evident in his dedication to the best possible outcomes for his patients and ongoing commitment to research.
Couples and individuals needing the help of a sperm donor to try and fulfil their dream of parenthood, can now find a faster solution in just a few swipes with the launch of our Addam App – Australia’s first-ever dedicated sperm bank app of registered sperm donors.
Addam app delivers real-time access to one of the largest databases of available donor sperm in Australia.
The app currently has over 110 registered donors listed from Australia, and from overseas who also comply with Australian regulations.
We have all got our fingers (and toes) crossed that this year will return to some semblance of normal!
If you, like many others have made one of your 2021 resolutions: to start or expand your family, then the City Fertility team are here to help you towards your goal.
Sometimes setting goals though, is much easier than achieving goals, particularly when it comes to getting pregnant – there is no secret it can be a struggle for some.
In these circumstances, sometimes setting smaller goals, like eating well and exercising regularly can be more achievable to start with, than to focus solely on being pregnant straight away. Small goals can often add up very quickly to give your fertility a big boost.
As 2020 draws to a close, in Australia we are all breathing a sigh of relief! It has been a challenging year for all, and for our patients going through fertility treatment, there have been many more curveballs to navigate!
We are so proud of the focus and determination the country has shown to get COVID-19 under control and be the envy of the world, but also for the wonderful attitudes and the resolve of our patients to stay on track in working towards achieving their fertility dreams.
Despite having to change the way many things were done this year, City Fertility has continued to forge ahead.
While we are confident we will be able to help most patients within their first two fully stimulated IVF cycles, there will always be a percentage of cases that may take longer than anticipated to achieve success.
At City Fertility we want to maximise your chances of achieving your dream of having a baby and therefore now offer a significantly reduced up-front fee for repeated Medicare eligible treatment cycles.
